Knowledge is ignorance for the ignorant ones

Ash-Shafi'ee:
"Knowledge is ignorance for the ignorant ones, and ignorance is ignorance for the knowledgeable ones."
(Adab Shar'iyyah 1/2280)

Imam ash-Shafi’ee said: "If you fear falling into conceit through your deeds, remember whose pleasure you seek (that is Allah), what kind of grace you are looking for, and what kind of punishment you are afraid of. So, if you remember all these, your pious deeds will look small in your eyes."
Siyar a’laam an-Nubalaa

al-Albanee:
"One should not busy himself with questions that have not occurred, it is enough with the problems that already exist."
(SHN 262)


Muhammad bin Abdil-Baqi al-Hanbali:
"The teacher is not allowed to be violent and the student is not allowed to be arrogant."
(adab shar'iyyah 1/297)

Ibn Qayyim:
"If the heart is fed by love, the greed for pleasure would disappear."
(al-Fawaa'id, p.118)

Shaykh-ul-Islaam Ibn Qayyim:
"The Prophet said that ignorance is a disease and its cure is to ask the scholars."
(ad-Da', p 8)
