The hadeeth narrated by Abu Umaamah (RA):
- إن صاحب الشمال ليرفع القلم ست ساعات عن العبد المسلم المخطىء ، فإن ندم و استغفر الله منها ألقاها ، وإلا كتبت واحدة
The scribe on the left side raises his pen for six hours from the Muslim slave who sins. If he is remorseful and seeks Allah's forgiveness he does not record the sin, if he does not then he records it as a single sin.
Authenticated in Sahih Al-Jami al-Sagheer #2097
